Gaslighting

GASLIGHTING is a form of  PSYCHOLOGICAL MANIPULATION and EMOTIONAL ABUSE in which an abuser  attempts to cause confusion by distorting  reality in their victim’s mind by making them question their own memory,  judgement, or intuition.

Love-bombing &

Grooming

LOVE-BOMBING is the act of showing someone a lot of love or positive attention in order to make them do what you want. It is a form of EMOTIONAL ABUSE.

Fear. Obligation. Guilt

In the book EMOTIONAL BLACKMAIL
Susan Forward and Donna Frazier
explain how people manipulate you through FEAR, OBLIGATION, and GUILT.

These methods can also be shortened to the acronym “F.O.G.”

Intermittent Reinforcment

INTERMITTENT REINFORCEMENT is a manipulation tactic in which abusive behavior (punishment) is mixed with random displays of affection (reward).

Reproductive & Sexual Coercion

SEXUAL COERCION  is aggressive

uses manipulation to coerce you
into unwanted sexual activity through: begging, relentless persuasion, obligation, amongst other  methods.

REPRODUCTIVE COERCION includes using acts or threats of violence, and manipulation to interfere with your reproductive choice.
